We have a wide range of exotic and domestic woods to choose from so that students can design a truly personal guitar! Our material fee covers all wood and hardware (Excluding rare woods). It does not include pick-ups for electric or acoustic instruments.

CLASSES
Classes are offered in packages of four at a time and take place from Monday-Wednesday 5:00-9:00 in addition to 12:00-4:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Each student is assigned one class per week depending on the availability of their schedule. Students set the pace of their build, but it can take between 20-30 classes to complete an instrument. Class package of four - $200

Like how it sounds?

At Shady Lea Guitars we offer classes in building classical, steel string, electric guitars and ukuleles from scratch. No woodworking experience is required! Admission for classes is rolling, so you can start anytime! Students are able to select their own specialty woods and are encouraged to design their instruments' shape and features. We encourage students to work at a comfortable rate (making something so delicate and detailed should not be rushed). Here, students build at their own pace, so the amount of time it takes to complete an instrument varies from student to student. It usually takes a student between 20 and 30 classes, or around 6 months at one class per week. Stop by during any of our classes to check out what we're all about!
